Setur Marinas was awarded for its environmental education efforts
Setur Marinas, Turkey's leading chain marina operator, was deemed worthy of an award for its environmental education efforts in Ayvalık, Kaş and Yalova marinas at the award ceremony organized by the Turkish Environmental Education Foundation (TURCEV).
Providing services to sea enthusiasts with the motto "Set sail for new horizons", being respectful to nature and in compliance with OHS norms, Setur Marinas returned with 3 awards from the award ceremony organized on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of TURCEV, which carries out activities to raise environmental awareness in the society.
Organizations that have supported the Blue Flag Program since its creation, which is the most widely recognized and accepted tourism eco-label in the world according to the World Tourism Organization, were awarded at the ceremony held in Ankara.
Setur Marinas' marinas in Ayvalık, Kaş and Yalova were granted an award in the "Blue Flag Best Environmental Education Activities" category. The category recognizes qualified, clean, well-maintained, equipped and safe marinas that meet the required standards and criteria. Setur Marinas was deemed worthy of this international environmental award, which is a symbol of a sustainable environment, according to the environmental education activities criteria, for the awareness-raising activities it has carried out within the facility and with the visitors.
The awards were accepted on behalf of Setur Marinas by Deniz Enberker Karakış, Setur Marinas Corporate Communications and Marketing Manager, Süleyman Ercan, Ayvalık Marina Manager, Ümit Gölgeci, Yalova Marina Manager, and Barbaros Turan, Kaş Marina Front Office and Port Services Manager.
